China: China Notifies New Draft Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food

On November 16, 2017, China notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of draft standards on maximum residue limits (MRLs) for 111 pesticides in food --including 2,4-D and 2,4-D Na--, as SPS/N/CHN/1060. The deadline for comment submissions is January 15, 2018. The proposed date of implementation is yet to be determined. Comments on the draft can be sent to China’s SPS Enquiry Point via email to sps@aqsiq.gov.cn. The following report contains an unofficial translation of this draft standard.
