China: Amended Overseas Food Producer Registration Regulation Notified

On January 3, 2025, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) published a notice soliciting public comments on the “Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Registration and Administration of Overseas Producers of Imported Food (Draft for Comments).” The regulations amend previous registration requirements related to GACC Decree 248. The comment period closes February 19, 2025. The amendment has not been published with the World Trade Organization as of January 7, 2025.
