Australian sugar cane production is forecast to be stable at 34 million metric tons (MMT) in 2019/20. The harvest area is expected to be unchanged at 400,000 hectares. Post forecasts 2019/20 centrifugal sugar production to be stable at 4.9 MMT while sugar exports are expected to be 3.8 MMT.

On March 27, 2025, The People’s Republic of China National Health Commission (NHC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) jointly released the National Food Safety Standard Code of Hygienic Practice for Livestock and Poultry Edible Offal and By-Products (GB 31616-2025).
