The United States' trade agreement with Colombia took effect May 15, 2012, immediately eliminating tariffs for dozens of agricultural commodities. When the agreement is fully implemented, USDA estimates that it will boost U.S. agricultural sales by an additional $370 million annually, generating an additional $500 million in U.S. economic activity.
