FAS International Agricultural Internship Program

Current and soon-to-be graduate students have an exciting chance to gain international experience working at an FAS overseas post, supporting the agency’s trade policy, analysis, and market development efforts.

Interns are assigned to FAS offices in the Western Hemisphere, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The internships typically last for six weeks during the summer season, although there is flexibility on start and end dates and internship length.

These opportunities are open to students who are enrolled full-time or half-time in a graduate program, or have been accepted into a graduate program majoring in a relevant field such as international or agricultural economics, business, or journalism. Law students and graduate students majoring in international studies or agricultural sciences will also be considered. Preference is given to candidates who have some related work experience (paid or volunteer).

We're looking for team players with strong writing and analytical skills. Proficiency in a foreign language is preferred.

These opportunities are posted to the USAJobs website. The 2020 application deadline is January 21, 2020. Click here for the current recruitment announcement.
