This report outlines regulatory requirements and import procedures for food and agricultural imports into Pakistan. Compared to the last report submitted in December 2024, the report contains additions to the Food Laws and Trade Facilitation sections.

This report outlines Pakistan’s import certificate requirements for food and agricultural products intended for both human and animal consumption. It also identifies the Pakistan government agencies responsible for overseeing the entry of these imported products.

On January 6, 2026, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) updated its policy for implementing labeling amendments. Now, all changes to labeling and display regulations as well as updates to labeling provisions in other Food Safety and Standards regulations, will take effect annually on July 1.

This report summarizes import requirements for food and agricultural commodities in mainland Tanzania. Genetically engineered (GE) products are restricted and may only be imported with permits or authorizations from relevant agencies. Zanzibar maintains separate regulatory structures that may differ from mainland rules.
