Philippines: Validity of SPS Import Clearances Extended

The Philippine Department of Agriculture temporarily extended the validity of SPS Import Clearances for meat and poultry from 60 to 90 days.
On July 27, the Philippine Department of Agriculture's National Meat Inspection Service issued Memorandum Circular No. 07-2021-018, reiterating the minimum labeling requirements for imported meat.

On June 18, 2021, the Department of Health issued Administrative Order No. 2021-0039 (AO 2021-0039) “National Policy on the Elimination of Industrially Produced Trans-Fatty Acids for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases.”
On June 26, 2021 the Philippine Department of Agriculture released the guidelines for implementing the increased tariff rate quota for pork imports, known as Minimum Access Volume (MAV).
