U.S. agricultural exports to China in fiscal year (FY) 2022 were $36.4 billion and surpassed the previous year’s record with China as the largest export market for the second consecutive year. Significantly higher agricultural prices and resilient demand helped drive exports above the previous year’s record despite lower volumes for most products.

On July 13, 2022, the Government of Vietnam (GVN) issued Decree 46/2022 amending Decree 13/2020 Guiding the Law on Animal Husbandry, which repeals Article 18.3.c of Decree 13/2020. With this amendment, the GVN no longer requires a Certificate Free Sale (CFS) for imported feed ingredients, including traditional feeds such as corn, soybean meal, DDGS, and single feed ingredients like vitamins, amino acids, and minerals, as part of the registration process for import inspection.

On March 2, 2022, the Supreme People's Court of China issued "Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Criminal Trial Work Involving Seeds" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"). FY2021 agricultural exports reach record levels.

In the first quarter of 2021, U.S. soybean exports reached the second-highest value ever at $7.7 billion, nearly double the same period last year.

Taiwan’s soybean imports are projected to reach 2.66 million metric tons (MMT) in marketing year (MY) 2021/22 after an expected decline in MY 2020/21 to 2.56 MMT.
