India: Grain and Feed Update

On November 20, 2025, India’s Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) released the final production estimates of major crops for the Indian crop year (ICY) 2024/2025 (July-June), reporting record grain production at 357.7 million metric tons (MMT) largely on record harvest of rice, wheat and corn. PSDs have been revised to reflect the final official estimates. Above normal 2025 monsoon is likely to support grain harvest in the upcoming MY 2025/2026. Post continues to forecast 2025/2026 rice production at a new record 151 MMT from 51.5 million hectares; and has raised MY 2025/26 corn production to 44 MMT ( new record) from 12 million hectares.
