Note to Data Users:
Use the export data with caution. Currently, several large yellow corn shipments are being misclassified as yellow corn seed shipments. The yellow corn seed export data show growth of 125%, from $122 million in the July-June period in 02/03 to $275 million in the current period. The misclassification of this data is creating large distortions in the export data. The U.S. Department of Census has been notified and the problem will most likely be corrected in 90-120 days.
