ASEAN-4 NATIONS (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines) is discontinued and replaced by ASEAN REGION. ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) is composed of the following seven members: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, and Vietnam.

Israel, Gibralter, Malta and Gozo have been moved from Developed Economies to Developing Economies, reflecting the current 1997 country group designations used by the International Monetary Fund.
