The United States exported a record $2.1 billion in food and agricultural products to Vietnam in fiscal year 2013, up from just $368 million in 2007, the year Vietnam joined the World Trade Organization, and up nearly 38 percent from fiscal year 2012. Vietnam now ranks as the United States’ 12th-largest market for agricultural exports.

Vietnam is participating in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations, offering further opportunities to break down trade barriers and expand market access for U.S. food and agricultural products.
