Exports of U.S. food and agricultural products to Saudi Arabia totaled more than $1.1 billion in fiscal year 2013. Major exports include soybeans, dairy products, vegetable oils, and processed fruits and vegetables.

In September 2012, the United States signed a trade and investment framework agreement (TIFA) with the Gulf Cooperation Council (which includes Saudi Arabia, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain) to continue expanding and liberalizing trade relations.

Data & Analysis

The Saudi poultry sector has experienced a major production growth in recent years. Broiler meat production is estimated at 640,000 MT in 2014, and expected to further increase 9 percent in 2015.
