Establishing an Account in the GSM Online System

Before using the GSM Online System, you must obtain an eAuthentication ID from the U.S. Department of Agriculture by completing two steps:

1. Apply online for Level 2 access by completing the form at https://eauth.sc.egov.usda.gov/eAuth/selfRegistration/selfRegLevel2Step1.... You will receive a confirmation email containing a link. Please read the text and click the link within 7 days.

2. Visit a USDA Service Center, where a USDA employee will verify your identity and activate your account. To locate the Service Center nearest you, go to http://www.eauth.egov.usda.gov and select "Service Centers" to locate the center nearest you. When you visit the Service Center, you must bring:

  •  Your Level 2 User ID and password.
  •  A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a state driver's license, military ID, state ID or passport.

Once your account is activated, you will be able to conduct business using the GSM Online System. Each person in your organization who uses the Online System must complete the process to obtain an eAuthentication ID. Please do not share your User ID and password with anyone.
