Barley

Area decreased in all of the major producing countries, but Germany was the only major country to not realize improved yields, and increased production.

Area decreased in both major producing countries, but improved yields led to increased production.  France is forecast to have a record crop this year.

Rye

Germany is by far the largest rye producer in the European Union.  Decreased area and yield caused lower yields this year.
