Soaking rains boost soil moisture and spur planting of 2002/03 soybean crop.
 


Weekly Precipitation map of Mexico - show unseasonably heavy rains across the summer crops areas and timely early season rainfall in the northeast winter sorghum area.

Much needed, although somewhat scattered, precipitation is falling across the Pacific Northwest at the time of this writing, the best rainfall since October 2, 2002.
