As of May 29, 2001, winter wheat in Washington is 63%
good-to-excellent and 37% very poor-to-fair.
In Oregon, winter wheat is 44% good-to-excellent and 56%
very poor-to-fair.

conditions remain good in California and crops are ahead of last
year in development. However,
moisture reserves are limited.
On May 29, winter wheat was reported to be 90%
good-to-excellent and 10% fair.

seen a number of wild fires.
