North Korea Grain Situation - 2005/06

Milled rice yields in North Korea have increased modestly over the past five years, from 2.36 tons per hectare in 2000 to an estimated 2.74 tons per hectare in 2005, but remain significantly lower than yields in China, Japan, and South Korea, which typically range between 4 and 5 tons per hectare.  .
