BACKGROUND: | On December 30, 1999, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, FAS is scheduled to shutdown the Local Access Network computers for system maintenance in preparation for Y2K. This shutdown will affect the submission of reimbursement claims over the Internet. In addition, December 31, 1999 is an official Federal holiday and many MAP participants= 1998 reimbursement period ends on that day. |
| POLICY: | To ensure that participants have sufficient time to submit their final 1998 reimbursement claims, FAS will extend the reimbursement deadline to January 3, 2000. All reimbursement claims (paper and electronic) must be received in the Marketing Operations Staff no later than January 3, 2000. This extension only applies to those participants whose 1998 reimbursement period ends December 31, 1999. | |
