POLICY: As a result of a suggestion submitted by a MAP participant to streamline the MAP, FAS will no longer require MAP participants to breakout brand company budgets into 3 cost categories - promotional, trade shows, or advertising. For each brand activity identified in an activity plan, the participant need only provide a total budget for the activity and a description and calculation of the total budget.
  EFFECTIVE DATE: This change is effective for the 1997 program year and is reflected on pages six and seven of the 1997 MAP Activity Plan Handbook. We anticipate that this change will allow a more user-friendly program, which better serves the needs of brand participants, without reducing FAS oversight or control of funds. As always, we welcome suggestions from all program participants.
