MR. HANES: Good morning, it's a pleasure to see you here this morning. My name is Joe Hanes. I'm with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and we're pleased to be able to co-host this session along with USDA, Foreign Agriculture Service and the U.S. Trade Representative's office. I think you will be hearing more about today's activities in just a few moments. It's my pleasure this morning to introduce the Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of agriculture, Dan Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler has been a the commissioner of our department for approximately six years now. He is a native of Cumberland County, Tennessee, where he grew up on a livestock farm. He completed a 30-year career with the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation ending that career as the chief administrative officer of that organization. We're quite proud that in Tennessee we have the largest Farm Bureau Federation in the United States. So Mr. Wheeler? | ||
