The March WASDE report shows fiscal year (FY) 2013 WTO raw sugar tariff-rate quota (TRQ) shortfalls projected at 400,000 short tons raw value, up 14 percent from February.
-
FY 2013 imports from Mexico to date are up 32 percent from the same period last year, due to higher production in Mexico.
-
The fill-rate for FY 2013 refined sugar TRQ to date is 64 percent. Two of the remaining specialty sugar TRQ tranches are not yet opened.
-
The fill-rate for calendar year 2013 Free Trade Agreements TRQs for Colombia, CAFTA/DR, Panama, and Peru to date is 19 percent.
