- The April WASDE report shows fiscal year (FY) 2013 WTO raw sugar tariff-rate quota (TRQ) shortfalls projected at 400,000 short tons raw value, unchanged from March.
- FY 2013 imports from Mexico in March were at their second-highest level since May 2011, due to higher production in Mexico.
- The fill-rate for calendar year 2013 Free Trade Agreements TRQs for Colombia, CAFTA/DR, Panama, and Peru to date is 20 percent.
- On April 11, the fourth tranche of FY 2013 specialty sugar tariff-rate quota will open for 20,003 metric tons raw value. A specialty sugar certificate valid must accompany the sugar imported.
