On On August 26,
2011, USDA announced that sugar entering the United States under the fiscal year
(FY) 2011 raw sugar import tariff-rate quota (TRQ) will be permitted to enter
until October 31, 2011, a month later than usual.
· FAS
estimate of U.S. sugar imports from Mexico for August 2011 is 80,030 metric tons
raw value (MTRV).
· The
FY 2011 specialty sugar TRQ filled on August 24, the day that the last tranche
of 16,537 MTRV opened. Total FY 2011 specialty sugar TRQ imports were 87,839
MTRV.
· This
