Monthly Import and
Re-Export Data Report

- On September 30, USDA announced an increase in the FY
2011 refined sugar tariff-rate quota (TRQ) of 136,078 metric tons raw value
(MTRV) and extend the date this sugar is eligible to enter the United States
until November 30, 2011.
- Also on September 30, the Office of the U.S. Trade
Representative (USTR) announced country-specific allocations for the FY 2011
refined sugar TRQ increase. USTR allocated a total of 25,000 MTRV to Canada
and 111,078 MTRV to be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.
