- On April 12, 2011, USDA increased the raw cane sugar tariff-rate quota (TRQ) by 294,835 metric tons raw value (MTRV), offsetting an equivalent shortfall in cane sugar availability below the domestic cane sugar allotment level. With this increase, the overall fiscal year (FY) 2011 raw sugar TRQ is 1,412,030 MTRV.
- On April 12, 2011, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative allocated this TRQ increase among supplying countries, and reallocated 102,177 MTRV of the original TRQ from countries that are unable to fill previously allocated FY 2011 raw sugar TRQ quantities.
