Relief and Assistance for Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti, 2010
USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service is working with other government agencies to provide assistance in the recovery from the earthquake that struck Haiti, January 12, 2010. Much of that assistance involves providing emergency food supplies made possible by the great productivity of U.S. farms. Beyond the emergency activities and supplies, the FAS international development staff will be involved with other U.S. government agencies in planning for the longer term reconstruction and development of the devastated regions.
