Federal Register Notices: Workplan Review Cycles 2007

Executive Order 12866 directs all Federal agencies to periodically provide OMB its planned regulatory actions. The workplan review cycle was established by USDA to comply with the requirement for the periodic listing.

The review cycle schedule for 2007 is as follows:

  • January 12 (cycle 114)

  • February 23

  • April 6

  • May 18

  • June 29

  • August 10

  • September 21

  • November 2

  • December 14

We continue to encourage you to ensure that your cycle submissions include all regulatory actions that need to be published within a 60 to 90 day timeframe. In addition, we remind you that a workplan must be submitted for a planned regulatory action at each stage of development (i.e., ANPRM, NPRM, Interim, and Final).

Workplans must be submitted by the above dates in order to be processed for that cycle. Please note that OBPA will only process workplans submitted out of cycle that are emergencies.

Your continued effort to ensure that the rulemaking process at USDA is efficient and effective is appreciated.

Please submit your workplan to Tamoria Thompson-Hall, Regulatory Liaison, room 6087-S (202-690-1690) prior to the above dates.
