Kauffman, vice president of Accokeek Foundation, hosted Dr. Garth
Youngberg, senior analyst at the Henry A. Wallace Center for
Agricultural and Environmental Policy at Winrock International, Jill
Auburn, USDA/CSREES Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE),
and the USDA-GVB video team at Accokeek Farm. Dr. Youngberg discussed
the evolution of sustainable agriculture in the United States and
Auburn explained USDA/CSREES programs such as SARE and Community Support
Agriculture (CSA). The video crew filmed picking and packing of vegetables as
well as member distribution during the weekly CSA pick-up at
Accokeek Farm. |
