The Food
Industries Division (FID) manages international
technical assistance and training programs that
contribute to USDA’s efforts in trade capacity
building and development. We work on a
government-to-government level to support
policy-making, strengthen regulatory capacity,
and build institutions with the goal of
facilitating international trade. Our projects
address a range of issues including technical
barriers to trade, market infrastructure
support, and compliance with international trade
organizations and standards.
