USDA Exchanges Community on State Alumni

STATE ALUMNI is the official website for more than 1,000,000 alumni of exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Interactive, dynamic and password-protected, alumni.state.gov offers alumni from all U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs a place to network with other alumni from around the globe; share information about exchange programs and alumni activities; participate in Q&A Live discussions with experts; and access resources such as grants, jobs and research databases.

The USDA Exchanges Community within the State Alumni website is a community for YOU, USDA Exchange Alumni! USDA Exchange Alumni are welcome and encouraged to contribute content to the news and announcement sections, discussion forums, job announcements, and photo galleries. Members are also able to connect with alumni from other government programs both within USDA and programs hosted by other departments.  Once you join the site, find the USDA Exchanges Community by selecting it from the list of communities on the homepage.

Build upon your exchange experience.

We encourage our members to participate and take advantage of State Alumni's resources.  Opportunities include the ability to apply for grants.  Recently, a proposal by a group of Borlaug Fellows was selected as a finalist in the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund on State Alumni. The proposal was entitled Empowering Rural Women Through Innovative Trainings in Specific Agricultural Occupations in Selected Communities in the Americas and Africa.  The proposal focuses on training women in Ecuador and Nigeria in the production of chocolate to diversify income and improve economic wellbeing.
