U.S. exports of horticultural products to
all countries in February totaled $766 million, up 3
percent from the same month a year earlier. Nine out of
the 15 categories registered increases. Categories with
the most significant increases in February were
non-citrus fresh fruit (up $19.2 million or 47 percent)
and dried fruit (up $4.2 million or 16 percent). The
category with the most significant decrease was wine
(down $7.3 million or 17 percent). For FY 1999 to date
(October - February), the total value of U.S.
horticultural exports was $4.3 billion less than 1
percent below FY 1998 during the same time period.
