| Dehydrated Potato Products |
COMMODITY SPECIFICATIONS
The dehydrated potato products shall be prepared from properly matured, wholesome, clean vegetables. The vegetables used in the preparation of this product shall be prepared from the latest season=s crop year. The re-hydrated or prepared potatoes shall have a good flavor and odor typical for the type and style of potatoes. The product shall be free from objectionable or foreign flavor or odor.
ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS -
The
dehydrated potato products provided shall meet the salient characteristics in
Commercial Item Description A-A-20032E. When
requested the dehydrated potato products shall be fortified with Vitamin A,
iodine, and iron.
PACKAGING
The dehydrated potato products shall be packed in 16 ounce polyethylene bags, two kilogram polyethylene bags, 10 kilogram multi wall paper bags or 20 kilogram multi wall paper bags. The 16 ounce size bags shall be packaged in corrugated cardboard cases of 12 bags. The two kilogram polyethylene bags shall be packaged in corrugated cardboard cases of 6 bags. Commercially marked bags will be provided.
