Supplemental Information on Dry Whey
In an effort to provide additional information on international markets for dry whey and other whey products, the Dairy, Livestock and Poultry Division of FAS requested that Agriculture Attaches in 12 countries start collecting and analyzing information on whey in the same manner as they do for other dry milk products. Their initial efforts indicated there are some gaps in the ability of governments or other official bodies to supply the requested information.
The following table presents a summary of what was collected. It also included some information drawn from the trade database maintained by the United Nations and the production and trade database maintained by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
