EU-27

The European Union is one of the most important trading partners and competitors of the United States in world agricultural markets, as well as one of the key participants in the World Trade Organization. In 2008, the EU27 was the 5th largest destination market for U.S. agricultural goods, accounting for over 10 percent, by value, of all U.S. agricultural exports. Similar to the United States, the EU27 is a mature, developed market for value-added agricultural products. The European Union is currently composed of 27 member states.
