Important Note:

Effective January 1, 2006, FAS will no longer provide new attaché reports or supply-and-demand statistics for tobacco. The tobacco supply-and-use database currently available via the FAS PSD Online system will continue to be available for historical data, but no updates or new data will be added after 2005. Previous attaché reports will also be accessible via the FAS public Web site. The final issue of the FAS electronic publication Tobacco: World Markets and Trade was published in September 2005. References to alternative sources of tobacco data were included in the September publication.

The scope of this decision is limited to statistical information including attaché reports; other agency activities are unaffected.
